You simply push the upper handle down into the lower assembly and insert the 2 included bolts and tighten with a screwdriver. Next, attach the hose and tool caddy into the back of the machine and snap in place. Then it is just a matter of attaching the cleaning hose and solution line onto the machine and you're basically ready to go. 2 Tank Cleaning System A dual tank cleaning system is standard on this Hoover carpet cleaner. Both the clean water and dirty water recovery tanks hold 1 gallon each and are very easy to fill or drain. The clean water tank is located in the upper body of the machine and actually has two tanks inside of it. One is for the clean water and the other is for the carpet cleaning detergent. (It holds up to 16 oz of detergent) Having the two separated is nice since you don't have to worry about properly mixing the detergent with the water, etc. The machine does it all for you. The dirty water recovery tank is located in the lower portion of the cleaner and comes out by lowering the handle down and simply pulling up the solution tank. You have to try and get just the right amount to go with however much water you put into the tank, and it can often just be a hassle. Well, the auto detergent mixing system on the Hoover F7411 couldn't be any easier to use. Just fill the carpet solution tank with detergent and the machine will automatically dispense the amount needed as you clean your carpets. I like this feature a lot as it is one less thing I have to do in getting everything set up to clean. Quick Rinse Setting Having a rinse setting on any carpet cleaning machine is a nice feature. It gets up any leftover soap residue which occurs quite often when you are cleaning a stubborn stain or high traffic area and you go back and forth several times dispensing detergent. You'll find a switch on the upper handle that you can slide down to start the rinse feature. 8 Foot Hose & 30 Foot Power Cord The 8' hose that comes with this cleaner a good size for home use. It's not overly long to where it becomes more difficult to maneuver around with, yet it's not too short to where you are constantly having to make adjustments and move the machine in order to finish cleaning anything. A 30 foot power cord is ample to clean most any size room without having to unplug it and plug it back into another outlet. Powered SpinScrub Hand Tool And Stair/Upholstery Tools You'll find a few different carpet cleaning tools with this Hoover. One that is especially welcome is the SpinScrub hand tool. It features the same type of scrubbing brushes that are in the floor nozzle, and this really makes a difference in cleaning carpeted stairways, all types of furniture upholstery, car floor mats and interiors, etc. There's also another smaller upholstery tool, and everything fits nicely mounted onto the tool caddy on the back of the machine.
Edge Cleaning System This particular Hoover has the ability to clean carpets right up to the edge of the walls. This is helpful because with some carpet cleaners you have a big gap that needs to get cleaned between the machine and the wall. But this machine gets everything clean right up against the walls.
