Assembly

Out of the box, the Hoover 5914 is quick and easy to assemble. All that is required is a Phillips screwdriver to use on two bolts that fasten the hose holder, and one screw that attaches the tool caddy holder. The remainder of the assembly process is simply connecting the hose and putting the cleaning tools on the caddy. (You'll find an instructional manual with photos that walk you through the entire process included in the box.)

One helpful tip worth mentioning is in regards to the clean surge button. When you initially set it up, be sure squeeze the cleaning trigger and push the clean surge button at the same time until you hear a 'snap' like sound. That sound indicates that the clean surge button is set properly. Without making sure you do this step the clean surge feature will be on continuously and could create a leak problem.

12-Amp Motor
