When you first open the box to this Bissell Spot Lifter you'll immediately notice what a nice size it is. It's small enough for anyone to use in cleaning smaller spills, yet big enough to include many of the great features you want in a carpet cleaner.
There is no assembly necessary with this machine as it comes ready to go right out of the box. The only thing you'll need to do is charge the battery.

9.6V Rechargeable Battery With Charger

One of the unique aspects of the Bissell Spot Lifter is that it operates on a 9.6V rechargeable battery. There's no power cords to deal with, making this one of the easier, and more portable, carpet cleaners around.

When you first get your machine you'll need to charge the battery before you can use it. Bissell recommends that you charge it for 12 hours before using it the first time. Once charged you'll have up to 15 minutes of continuous use before having to recharge it again.

2 Tank System

There is a neat little dual tank system that comes with this machine. The water/solution tank is located on the back of the cleaner and takes no time to remove and fill. You simply pull the container up, unscrew the lid and fill it with water and detergent. Put it back in place and you're set.

The recovery tank is located on the front of the machine. To remove and empty the tank you simply press the tank release button, twist it a quarter turn and remove. Empty the dirty water and put it back in place. Naturally, with a machine of this size the tanks are small as well. But, they are the perfect size for what this little gizmo is designed for and work very well.

Agitating Cleaning Brush

Another nice little feature with this Bissell cleaner is the removable cleaning brush. It's removable so that it's not in the way for those times when you only need to pick up a spill.
